Project: Phillip
A chimera of a shark and axolotl, with the profession of a loan shark.
This art piece was created for my 3D Modeling class at DePaul (Ani 230) as my final project. We were tasked to create a mix of two creatures and to detail them with hints to their profession. I picked the shark and axolotl as I believed their features would work together well as both animals have relatively large mouths, perfect for adding in jagged teeth and a devilish smile. Add that in with dual shark fins and axolotl hair replacing bushy eyebrows. This chimera being a loan shark is believable, due to how dangerous and conniving it looks. To really sell it, I added a cigar and bowler hat to make viewers think of classic mafia films.

The Winter Monarch
The frozen throne of a mighty ice monarch guarded by their winter golems.
This art piece was created for my 3D Modeling class at DePaul (Ani 230) as our first time creating a 3D environment. I had chosen to create a villain lair to that of a frozen monarch. As I believed an open air lair would allow me to create a better backdrop, since with more room I could focus on creating a detailed centerpiece that wouldn’t feel out of place. The throne itself is surrounded by multiple ice spikes, and a snow mound filled with weapons creating the concept that its owner was both dangerous and strong. The ice golems guarding the throne give it a regal sense, with them acting as royal guards protecting their monarch. The snow golems were added to fill out the snow covered forest, and to add some life to the scene I had them positioning a plethora of poses and sizes.
